Our Radical Responsibilities during COVID-19

We’re still here for you! However, please note, you may experience slight delays in your order. Make sure you keep up to date with your order here.

The world has been affected by the awful effects of COVID-19. It’s touched every corner of society and every industry – including fashion. We’ve decided to launch and stay open during this difficult time. We’d like to explain why and assure you that we’re taking every step available to us to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

First of all, we’re much smaller and streamlined than other labels. That doesn’t mean our staff and suppliers are worse or better off. It just means the impact of closing is felt more. We have a duty of care to protect those whose livelihoods and families depend on nu-in – especially in places where government support isn’t readily available.

Rest assured, we’re putting everyone who works with nu-in first. Their safety is the most important thing to us, which is why we’ve kept to strict rotation rotas and social distancing measures in our factories. Workers are always equipped with protective equipment, as well as working in smaller numbers. We’re also helping those who are out of work by giving positive opportunities to influencers and models, deciding to shoot campaigns in the safety of people’s homes.

No part of our decision has been influenced by profit. The way we’re set up (we don’t overbuy to meet unrealistic targets) means we’re comfortable with not making a profit during this trying period. So long as we are still getting our message of sustainable fashion out there and making small changes, we’re happy. We know there’s a world to come back to after this pandemic and we want every step we take now to contribute towards protecting it. We hope you’ll join us in making small steps to do the same – in or outside of lockdown.

Stay safe,

- nu-in team
